Middle East Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (MEFAPA) is a regional organization under the umbrella of International Federation of adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) concerned with the promotion and dissemination of experiences, results, and findings in the fields of adapted physical activity and sport sciences, and their practical application to benefit of individuals across the life span.

Initiate, coordinate, and organize international conferences, symposia, meetings, seminars, workshops, research, and clinics.
Support and initiate projects for training and advanced training of staff in the field of APA.
Encourage and promote programs of study APA.
Promote processing of information and documentation in APA and their exchange among institutions.
Cooperate with national, regional, and international organizations.

Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity

Scientific research is a key component for development in any nation. It is a tool to acquire knowledge in the development, renewal, and use of materials, resources, and commodities so as to be useful for individuals and institutions. According to the significance of scientific research in Jordan, there is a vital need to link the different institutions that are involved in scientific research. For these reasons, the Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity (JSSREC) was established in 1999.

JSSREC is established with great interest to meet the following main objectives:

Development of a national, regional, and global interest in scientific research, and to support research activities and programs in the different sectors in Jordan.
Establishment of mechanisms for support to scientific research and to connect it with the development by enhancing collaboration between the scientific institutions, and economic forums.
Monitoring the outputs of scientific research locally and internationally and to maximize the benefit of these outputs in Jordan.
Bridging better communications between researchers and decision makers to enhance the contribution of research outcomes in decision making.
Educate the public about the significance of scientific research for development and the dissemination of information to enhance the awareness in this domain.

JSSREC is involved with many activities such as supporting research projects, organizing multidiscipline seminars, bridging relations with universities, and research national and international institutions, establishing programs to keep updated with the progress in scientific research worldwide, and enhancing public awareness about main world challenges.
The society, during the period since establishment, has succeeded in providing many types of activities on the daily, monthly, yearly and biannually basis. Mainly, JSSREC held so far nine biannual international conferences in Amman on multidiscipline scientific research where each conference was attended by at least 1,000 participants. Moreover, the society publishes a biannual journal “Scientific Research” in Arabic.
