Amman, the capital of the reign of Jordan, is a modern city with numerous ancient ruins. Built over seven hills, it is also known as the \u201cWhite City\u201d because of the color palette of its buildings.<\/strong>

Most of the constructions are on beige, white and ocher tones, because of the materials used, native from the region.\u00a0<\/strong>

As a modern and prosperous city, almost half of Jordan’s population is concentrated in the Amman area. <\/strong>

The downtown area is much older and more traditional, with smaller businesses producing and selling everything from intricate gold and silver jewelry, to everyday household items.

You can find art galleries, coffee shops and a diversity of artisan shops along rainbow Street, which truly embodies the unique blend of the old and new that this city manifests.

The city is an ideal family location, also offering its visitors plenty of lively nightlife, with everything from cultural and theatrical events, to traditional Arabic entertainment, and modern restaurants.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
